Wagon Kit RCH 1910 12-ton wagon

 

16ft 6in 12-ton 7-plank with side doors only. Built by several of the independent wagon builders The SECR purchased 1,350 of these between 1910 and 1914, some for a contract with William Cory and Son, a very large coal factory based in the area. We can supply the correct SECR transfers. 225 identical wagons were built for the LBSC in 1911, and in 1919 the GNR received 50 of these wagons from H.M. Government to replace wagons lent and lost overseas. The GNR used them for loco coal, painted in their usual brown livery. During the same period and for the same reason the LNWR hired some of these wagons.
